ABOUT

GENERATION GAP

Generation Gap is a literary magazine that came into being in spring of 2026 when Liz Shine (Founder of Red Dress Press) was sitting around at five in the morning thinking about her students, who she was helping to make a literary magazine at the time. Liz has taught high school English for almost thirty years and is the faculty adviser of the literary magazine at her school. She was thinking about them, staring out the window, reflecting on some recent experiences with submitting work to literary magazines and also just  the state of the world, when the idea for this magazine presented itself. At first, she thought, oh, no a literary magazine is so much work, but try as she might, she could not say no. She knew she needed to try. So, here we are, just stepping out, trying to bring this idea into being.
